Names
The names associated with pan almost certainly have an anecdote. Whether the names are associated with panmen, steelpans or steelbands, someone somewhere will have a story to tell.
The original stories may have been folk tales detailing landmark events (TASPO). Now many names have an academic theme as the instrument has advanced tenfold (PHI).
