Tenor
The function of tenor pan is to play the melody.
It carries notes from the soprano range and its range is the highest in the steelpan family.
The tenor pan is also referred to as the lead pan, first pan, soprano pan, ping pong or melody pan.
The lowest note on a tenor pan ranges from middle C to the E above middle C.

High tenor containing 28 to 30 notes. The lowest note is middle D, one tone above middle C on the treble clef.

Its lowest note is middle C, also known as the F# (accidental) pan due to the F# note being placed in the centre of the instrument.
